Programs and Events

Programming and events are under the care and management of Bryna Blum our stewardship chair. Her outreach to and acknowledgment of members assures a sense of concern and recognition of their lifecycle events. Bryna continues to create stimulating programs of interest and enjoyment for our members. Programs include Ladies Who Lunch, book groups, game days, cooking classes, holiday parties, auctions and special events.

At Desert Outreach Synagogue, we learn that many people are experiencing losses, some that affect the individual and some that impact the greater community. In response, we offer a spiritual care support group for those coping with grief and loss. Led by Rabbi Rachel Axelrad,  the group meets monthly on the third Tuesday, at 2:00 PM.

Join the women of DOS this month when we meet to enjoy good food and interesting conversation. This no-host lunch takes place the third Thursday of each month, often features a guest speaker, and rotates at different restaurants.  Our previous lunches have been exciting, and we look forward to the pleasure of your company!

Enjoy camaraderie and kibitzing, as the men of DOS get together the third Wednesday of each month. Whether its breakfast or just coffee, this no-host gathering is a wonderful opportunity meet or make new friends. Create your own nosh and drash, coming together in community at Si Bon Restaurant 40101 Monterey Avenue in Rancho Mirage ( Albertson's Shopping Center)
